I know this is a little sad but.....
I have *lots* of webmail accounts (a couple of yahoo, a couple of hotmail and a gmail thrown in for fun) and each morning I spend my first 10 mins or so checking them all.....
I have just gone back to Firefox (now that I've remembered what it is called) and have found a fab addon that automatically checks them and tells me when I have mail.
It is brilliant and it is called WebMail Notifier 1.3.
*end of rave*
I have just heard my partners phone go off. Apparently it is the text alert... sounded like a sonic screwdriver to me :D
And the cat is scared off it :S
I am being a bit of a wimp and doing this only on my journal at the moment, but
I have been getting comments about my mobile ring tone and my text message alert....
OK so no prizes but:
My ring tone is "Doctor Who theme tune" (occasionally the Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Gallaxy theme)
My text alert is "Torchwoodtheme tune."
So my question is what tones/alerts do you have on yours?

And for those outsideof the UK Transcripted below.
While he was reinstalling windows we had a coffee and a chat.
Besides talk about cats, puppies and the weather. He complimented me on the coffee (filter coffee of cause), which brought a smile to my face.
Much later while I was re-loading something and I was telling Pete about my day and was relaying some of the stories / information Adam had told me that morning.
After one story Pete smiled at me and said "I know." placing a hand on my shoulder.
I was horrified, I'm repeating my self I thought.
Pete continues "I said the same thing to you, remember?"
Now I had a blank look on my face.
Now grinning madly he finishes "on your first day."
Laughing is good for the soul!

Q. Why does Jack like standing on tall buildings?
A. Because from there you can only go down.
Q. Why should you never have a drinking contest with a Weevil?
A. Because Weevils wobble but they don't fall down.

Read the text first,
Dear Mr Printer Repair Man,
Please come to my house and check my printer.
Every time I use the printer - and I walk away while it prints
My papers are wrinkled, even shredded.
Sometimes the ink is blurred.
I hope that you can find the problem!!
Sincerely,
Concerned Computer Owner

I am terrible come the end of a series that I watch week in week out.
I miss it terribly and don't know what to do with myself during it's 'slot' in the week.
Well Torchwood kinda ran in to Doctor Who this year (well with some gap but not too bad), but come the end of Doctor Who (when I found out that Torchwood wasn't starting untill the new year) I have been at a loss. My TV viewing has deminished to, well just NCIS and they're repeats! I've even started watching CSI. But that made things worse as all I could hear was 'CSI Cardiff' and 'velocity of a kebab.' *sigh*
I even resorted to going to the library to get Torchwood books 'n' dvds (they still refer to me as 'The Torchwood Lady' - god I must have been a pain in the arse that day.)
Anyway what I am trying to say is...
Writing fanfic is great! It fills the void during seasons and it has all the *squee* factor you want. Perfect!
